Merry Christmas

I hope that this holiday greeting finds you well. All is well here at the homestead. . . Ma, Pa, Fang, and I are all jolly and cheery with the time of year.

These holidays are a bittersweet time, as they are my last at home for a time. Above is the passport photo that I submitted for my upcoming Peace Corps service. I leave in mid-January for Zambia, Africa.

I can't believe you were in Atlanta all this time and I didn't hear a peep from you! Have an excellent time, Africa has a way of getting in your heart and staying there. You'll laugh, you'll cry, but more importantly you'll be giving in such a huge way. It will be an unforgettable experience. I felt the same excitement I felt when you first shared the news about a year ago at MSR. We remain somewhat strangers but I feel connected to you as you will be where my heart is.
Saleh,
Bush Girl!
